Spring Fair unveils full content schedule including TikTok Shop debut

With the next Spring Fair almost upon us (4-7 February), organiser Hyve has released an action-packed content schedule for the NEC Birmingham event with major names featuring across the retail landscape, including TikTok and Google.

Set across three content stages it will “offer four days filled with inspiration, education and networking with the latest retail trends”. Also included are “keynotes from experts and invaluable masterclass knowledge to help shape buyer’s retail journey for the year ahead”.
Debuting is the Masterclass Studio in partnership with TikTok Shop in Hall 3, “created to share the tools to help retailers grow their business with leading agencies and consultants presenting their expertise on an invaluable array of topics”.
TikTok Shop, Google, B Corp, Avocado Social, Hasbro and The Buyer and Retail Coach are some of the names presenting on subjects including strategic buying, social media, customer experience, licensing, conscious consumerism, and more.
Kicking off the programme at 11am on Sunday (4 February), TikTok Shop will present ‘Social Commerce: The Future of Digital Retail’ focusing on the future of retail and why TikTok Shop “should become a part of [a] commerce portfolio”.
With several workshops daily, the social media giant will also deliver first-hand insight in ‘Seller Panel: My TikTok Shop Journey’ with the panel sharing their knowledge on how retailers can “excel in the world of shoppertainment” on its retail platform.
For buyers keen to learn more about how to ‘Create TikTok Content That Can Sell’ the session “will dive into some effective strategies on how to produce compelling content.”
Presenting on the stage daily, Google will host a range of talks from “how to unlock the potential of digital advertising and reach new customers online, how to adopt a data-driven mindset in business, and how to find the most effective channels to engage customers and leave with a template to create a personalised strategy”.
For buyers and retailers wanting to find out more on “inspiring retail sustainability”, Helena Mansell-Stopher, CEO Products of Change discusses how “educating your customer and understanding customer expectations go hand-in-hand when it comes to sustainability”.
Meanwhile, ’It Takes Two to Tango: Your Role in Conscious Consumerism’ will discuss “everything from supply-chain shake-ups, transitioning to unpackaged, revitalising business values and embracing circular practices, and the latest eco-creative solutions for growing conscious consumerism”.
Also, via the ‘B Corp Certification Clinic’, B Corp founder Louisa Mordaunt, employment agency I Love My Job director Daniel Fagan, Director of Supply Chain at Talking Tables, and Alison Phillips, B Leader & Director of Kindred CSR “will help retailers navigating the B Corp certification journey… gain insights into initiating the certification process, discover supportive networks and explore platforms”.
Anna Sanders, from brand innovation studio Dalziel & Pow, will present ‘Branding and Experience Masterclass’, while Catrina O'Brien, UK Licensing Director at Hasbro will focus on strategic brand enhancement with an exclusive retail Licensing Masterclass, and Nicole Higgins, consultant at The Buyer and Retail Coach “will unlock the secret of successful retail buying through her ‘Strategic Buyer Masterclass’."
